Travel Planning

Attendees planning to participate in the St. Olaf College, Minnesota State University Mankato and Gustavus Adolphus familiarity tours should plan to arrive on Monday, October 6. Tour transportation will depart the hotel at 7:15 am on Tuesday, October 7.

Conference meetings begin Tuesday, October 7 with an evening welcome reception. Conference sessions are scheduled for all day Wednesday, October 8 and the morning of Thursday, October 9. Plan for flight departure after 3 p.m. on October 9 to allow for attendance at the membership business meeting (required for campus members).

Attendees planning to participate in the Augsburg University and University of Minnesota Twin Cities familiarity tours on Thursday, October 9 should plan for departure on Friday, October 10.

Attendees planning to participate in the College of St. Scholastica, University of Minnesota Duluth and University of Wisconsin Superior familiarity tours on Friday, October 10 should plan for departure on Saturday, October 11.

When planning your travel itinerary, build in time to explore local attractions on your own as this will not be part of the conference schedule.

Overnight accommodations are available at the group rate of $179/night ($207.69 includes tax and fees). Reach out to Leah Holmberg at leah@nse.org if you require overnight accommodations.

Hotel amenities include free WiFi, onsite restaurant, indoor pool, spa, and fitness center.

Parking in the South ramp (located underneath the hotel) is available at $24 per day. Complimentary self-parking is available in the East and West Mall of America ramps. Overnight guests should notify the front desk at check in with vehicle license plate, make and model so vehicle is not towed.

Airport Information

Travel is recommended to and from the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP).

Ground Transportation

The Radisson Blu Mall of America is located 5 miles from MSP. Recommended transportation to/from the airport is via the complimentary airport shuttle. Shuttle service is available from 5 a.m. – 11 p.m. daily. After picking up luggage at baggage claim, call 952-881-5258 and Dial 7 for the Radisson front desk for shuttle service. They will provide a wait time for the shuttle and direct you to the Hotel Shuttle Pickup Location at Ground Transportation.

The METRO Blue Line Light Rail provides service to/from Mall of America, MSP, and Target Field (downtown Minneapolis). The METRO Green Line links downtown Minneapolis, the University of Minnesota, and downtown St. Paul. The Metro Transit app is a quick way to buy tickets for buses and trains and provides you with tools to ride. 

Uber and Lyft are also solid options for getting around.
